Intro

HOK is an e-commerce platform dedicated to making authentic Korean skincare accessible to customers across Nigeria. The brand was created to address a growing challenge in the beauty market: counterfeit products, overwhelming skincare choices, and limited access to trusted recommendations.

My role was to design an online shopping experience that feels trustworthy, educational, and effortless. The goal was to help customers confidently discover products that match their skin concerns while creating a seamless path from product discovery to checkout.

The result is a clean, modern e-commerce experience that showcases HOK's expertise in K-beauty while making skincare shopping simple, intuitive, and enjoyable.

Why I made this Project

  1. Highlight Product Authenticity

Visually communicate the brand’s promise of offering only genuine K-beauty products through strategic use of product imagery, badges, and trust signals.

  2. Build Trust and Credibility

Design a clean, modern interface that reinforces HOK as a reliable source for authentic, dermatologist-approved Korean skincare in Nigeria.

  3. Create an Intuitive Shopping Experience

Streamline product discovery and checkout flow for both first-time and returning customers, with a focus on mobile responsiveness.

  4. Educate and Guide Users

Integrate educational elements, like product benefits, skin concern filters, and usage tips, to help users make informed skincare decisions.

  5. Localize for the Nigerian Market

Ensure the experience feels familiar and accessible to the Nigerian audience by considering payment methods, climate-specific skincare needs, and delivery expectations.

  6. Increase Engagement and Retention

Design with features that encourage repeat visits, such as featured collections, customer reviews, email capture for skincare tips, and loyalty incentives.
